I'm back again.

Damn you blogger for dragging me back in. I tried wordpress for a few days and discovered that I just don't like it. Nuts. I couldn't find another free site that I liked so it's back to blogger for now. Found a template on another site that I liked more than what blogger has to offer so I used it and made a few changes.

I have to apologize to those of you who used to visit my old blog on a semi-regular basis for all the changes over the past few months. First it was the template, then it was the template again, then off to wordpress and now back to blogger with a totally different site. What can I say? Perhaps I have adult ADD/ADHD. Who knows. I require change. Must be all that moving we did as kids - one of the "joys" of growing up in a military family.
So here we go again.

What's new with me other than the new site? I've developed, as some of you may have noticed on the previous blog, a new found, rekindled interest in hockey. Darn those Oilers for making it into the playoffs. I blame it entirely on them. Well that and the fact that Dwayne Roloson and Mike Commodore (Carolina Hurricanes) are just so darn hot. What's a girl to do?

A break with a longtime friend has encouraged me to get out and about to try some new things and meet new people. So, I've decided to do just that. I've got some feelers out for curling lessons and possibly joining a league in the fall as well as taking some skating lessons. Now, being Canadian, I was born with skates on my feet. However, my father hated (and still hates) hockey so mine were figure skates. I'm certainly not Olympic calibre but I can hold my own - skating forward and back, starting, stopping and turning. Perhaps even a bunny-hop or two! However, I have no clue how to skate with hockey style skates on - no picks, thinner blades... Basically, I'm going to have to learn how to skate all over again. I'm hoping that perhaps I may be able to join a women's beginner league or ringette if I need to. Either way, I'm going to have to take some lessons.

Other than that not much else is going on. Got a "last minute" call for an interview back at the university. The fact that they called me the day before the interviews doesn't make me think I'm their top choice. I didn't go to the interview (yes, I did call and cancel!) as I was home sick today with a massive migraine. I had applied for the job a month and 1/2 ago....why oh why do these things take so long? I'm comfortable where I am, and I hate starting new jobs, I just wish I had more to do at my present job.

That's about it. Again sorry folks for all the running around between blogs! I'll try to keep this one (and no major changes to the template) for 6 months at least!

Great template, Karen.

I'm still in hospital so I haven't visited your blog or anyone else's in a few weeks, so I wasn't aware you were having issues or had changed over or whatever. I'll change the link on my blogroll when I get a chance. I have limited computer access here. Thanks for keeping me posted.

Coyote - I'll send you an email really soon. Hope you're feeling a bit better!

Lauren - thanks. Feeling much better now. It's just so freakin' hot here in Edmonton this week, I feel like I'm dying. I got the template off of this website:

They have some great stuff. I tried to follow your lead and headed over to wordpress but...guess it wasn't meant to be. Blogger bugs me but I find it much easier to work with after all.

not that big a difference between hockey and figure skates, as long as you are going forward. But hockey blades are taller and the edge is more rounded, you will find that the turn much faster. THAT will take a bit of gettin used to.

Damn, no wonder WC hasn't been on YM recently! I have got to get my shit together and get back into blogging mold.
