Within minutes of submitting my last post re: the CIBC Run for the Cure, my brother donated online. I was expecting maybe $20 or $25 after all he's got 2 small kids, a wife and a mother-in-law at home. All I can say is my brother is the superduperest bestest ever brother in the whole world (sorry Frangelita - although the antics of your brother and mine while we were growing up sound almost identical). My fabulous brother, David, has graciously donated a whopping $50! Everyone give my brother some love!

The good news doesn't stop there. After getting off the telephone with darling Dave, I received a phone call at work from a fellow employee somewhere else in the building. I had no idea who she was or where exactly she worked. However, she had seen a blurb in the "company" newsletter about my involvement in the run and wanted to know how to donate! Well, dear readers, I practically fell out of my chair. After recovering from my moment of shock, I directed her to the link and she soon figured it out. A few minutes later, I decided to have a little peak and see how much she had been gracious enough to donate. Now, before I tell you how much it was, you should know that my brother's giant financial gift put me $5 over my goal. (WOO HOO!). This unknown coworker donated another $50 to help beat breast cancer! Once again, I practically hit the floor (they should start making office chairs with seatbelts)! Holy smokies! To top it off, I'm STILL waiting for the money from the 50/50 draw which is going on this week at a friends workplace.

Once I receive this last major donor's picks, that will leave only 2 squares remaining. I know that one of the big incentives for many people will be the chance to win a prize. I will provide a 2nd (smaller) gift and draw one name out of a hat from those who donate after the squares are full. Don't let the full pool deter you from donating on COFFEE FREE WEDNESDAY!!! Let's try and SMASH my fundraising goal!!!!

That is so excellent! Generosity like that is very humbling. I'm sure you're going to be way, way, way over target when all is said and done. Go you, and go donators!
