Update - Veterans

The morning news reported today that at least one of the three remaining veterans from WWI will decline the offer of a state funeral if he is the last veteran to pass away. Seems he never saw combat as he was stationed in England during the war and that he is in fact an American citizen (his reasons for not accepting the honor).



As per my previous post, these are my maternal grandparents. Pictures taken during active duty during the war. My grandmother was a CWAC (pronouned Quack!) - a member of the Canadian Women's Auxilliary Corps.

PS: Someone sent me an ecard (I think) but I can't open it. If this was you, speak up now. Or perhaps it was just spam...

Your grandparents look wonderful in these photos. I love your grandma's hair and she has such a slim figure she looks so cute. What wonderful memntos.
