Early Christmas

Monday, December 18, 2006
Today was an early Christmas spent with my family. Dad was in town for an appointment with his oncologist, and since we don't head home to visit during the holidays anymore, we all figured that we'd celebrate a bit early. Despite my nephew spending the entire day in bed (he's been sick since last night), a very merry time was had by all.

Can't you see the family resemblance?

Dad is doing quite well since the end of his chemo treatment earlier this year. No more lymphoma - woo hoo! However, he's aged a lot in the past couple of years. Not surprising given all that's been going on in their lives lately. And yes, there IS a bit of an age difference between my father and his wife (~19 years).

I didn't manage to make it to visit my mother (tomorrow's her birthday) nor my friend Roby. It's going to be a busy week...

I'm so glad you had a nice time. I really cannot see the family resemblence, though. Am I blind and/or crazy? Wait...don't answer that...

Glad to hear that your dad's doing better.

Now, this is spooky. Now only are our birthdays only a few days apart, but our mums share the same birthday! Are you my long-lost sister, Karen-ina? (That's lil' Karen in Italian, so pronounce it with the emphasis on the "ni" rather than on the "re", which would imply some kind of Russian heroine).

Rambling comment... sorry! Glad to see your Dad is doing great, and your family look like a lot of fun!

It's so nice to see family pics! You have a lovely family who look like they are lots of fun.

Best to your dad on his recovery.

It's impossible trying to fit people in at this time of year. I've given up trying and just stay at home eating instead.
