My new BP. I swear, Dr. H almost did a jig he was so happy with how well the medication worked. It's still not as low as we would both like but the upper number dropped 15 points and the bottom almost 10. As a result, we're going to stick with the same dosage for another month to see if it goes down any further. He was also very excited to hear that I felt physically better (even though I didn't feel bad before) and was impressed with the overall results. And yes, I shared the walking story with him. He chuckled. Dr. H asked me to come in again in a month for another checkup and we'll figure out then if we're changing the dosage or sticking with what we're using now. Also, I'll be starting the metformin tomorrow to see if it helps with some of the symptoms of the PCOS - three months worth to give it enough time to work it's magic (if it has any).

As I was walking out the door of the examing room, he said "Oh, weren't we going to do a PAP smear?" Ooops. So close...I was almost out the door. I replied very emphatically in the negative. Not the same day as my blood pressure being taken. He proceeded to argue that we had already taken my BP and as I had been seen 1/2 hour before my actual appointment was even scheduled to start, there was time to do it. After a few minutes of avoiding removing my jeans and freezing my buns off, we finally settled on "discussing" it next month. I know what that means. If there's time after the next check, I'm ending up in the stirrups. Damn.

Not a fan of the pap myself. Ugh. I'm due for mine next month and I really don't want my hot GP doing it for me!

So glad to hear about the bp getting under control. I'm having my pap in 3 weeks and then I get to have my all time favourite - the mammogram
