Creepy Sheepy

Saturday, February 03, 2007
It seems that this is the week for pictures of animals that give me the willies. This morning while making the usual rounds, I innocently clicked on the link to Heather's blog. She's a fantabulous knitter/blogger/computer genius in Calgary. As I'm reading her latest post about the snow Cowtown has been receiving lately, and the LoTR marathon she has planned for the weekend, I came across this picture which Heather posted under the guise of doing some knitting.

What's the deal with the satanic eyes? And the fact that these sheep have the black faces and legs makes it that much more creepy. As soon as I saw it, I was reminded of the post I did back in early January on the movie Black Sheep. While those sheep were definately scary, I think it would have been even more so if they had used the devil sheep shown above. For those of you who don't remember or haven't seen the preview yet, here you go. I don't know if I'll ever use real wool again...

I always liked the Suffolk breed the best! Somehow I always found the black face and legs to be endearing, not demonic, but that's just me.
