Good news and bad. I have my own opinions about the ruling but can't comment for work related reasons. Feel free to sound off though...

Standard cheesy horror movie schlock. Remote eastern European location. Unexplored cave system. Abandoned church. Scantily clad token female. Winged subterranean demons. Killer parasites. My suggestion: Skip it. If you’re looking for a fairly decent, underground horror movie, I recommend The Descent. Some surprise twists and turns (literally) and a race of Gollum’s chasing an all female cast in the Appalachian mountains. The only thing missing is a blind kid and a banjo.

Possibly the dumbest and most over-hyped movie I have ever seen. I’ve seen Da Ali G show, so I know what the Borat character is all about. This was one of the movies that I was really looking forward to seeing. HUGE disappointment. It was not funny at all. Correction, I laughed at one scene – the Pamela Anderson book signing when he throws a sack over her head and chases her into the parking lot chased by security guards. Other than that, I found the movie boring and extremely offensive. It also goes to show how ignorant and unaware many “average” North Americans are. For all those people out there who were caught being racist, homophobic or sexist in the film and have decided to sue Sacha Baron Cohen and others associated with the film, no amount of money won’t change the fact that you’re still going to be stupid. Avoid at all costs.

Hm, we'll have to agree to disagree about Borat, because I thought it was fantastic. As I did Children of Men. Ah well.

I still want to see Borat, but I'm not sure when yet.

And you may remember my own review of The Cave. I thought it was lame lame lame. I also hated The Descent, though.
