The Weird, The Wacky, and The Wiggle

A few strange but oddly interesting items from around the world today…

FINLAND
A Finnish member of parliament is aiming for re-election by campaigning with a translation of his Web site into Klingon, used in the TV series 'Star Trek.'

UK
Ladies, according to the BBC, it’s not how slim your waist is, how much junk is in your trunk, or even how bodacious your boobies are that make us attractive to others. It’s the wiggle in our walk that makes their tongues wag. So, if you’re looking to hook up, you’ve got to shake your ass and show ‘em what you’ve got a bit more often.

INDIA
Indian cricket fans in Calcutta get their hair styled to show their support as they gear up for the Cricket World Cup. And I thought hockey fans were insane…

CANADA
Test the Nation (Canadian Version) will be airing this Sunday on CBC. If you’d like to see how you measure up against Canada’s surgeons, tattoo artists, mayors, fitness instructors, radio DJ’s, and millionaires, you can download a copy of the scorecard and play along. The test can be taken online or while watching the show. Check local listings.

Klingon hmmm. Here in the US of A we already have a slightly dim, warlike leader, whom we'd gladly ship off to Finland!
