Captain's Treasure!

Fabulous fellow bloggers, Red and *Asterisk, recently sent me a parcel full of goodies from the UK. From emails exchanged, I knew there was going to be a novel in there but the rest was a big surprise. There was nothing on the outside of the box to indicate what could possibly be inside - the box was much bigger than I had originally expected - other than the words "printed paper" on the top. This told me little as I had mentioned that I guessed there was a book inside...

It seems I was not the only one who was intrigued to see the contents... Anubis had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of said package as well and tried to hop inside as soon as I cut the tape. What on earth he was looking for, I have no idea. As it was from the UK, I can only assume that it had a scent of fish and chips so faint it was only detectable by his highly sensitive feline nostrils.
Red and *A clearly are very generous! Not only did the package contain the novel they promised to send, it also had two great mixed CD's (one especially made to help with my training!), a DVD of the UK version of the Apprentice, a magnet, coffee candies, a tattoo mag (I love you guys!!!), and a simply amazing looking vegetarian cookbook. Check out the treasure chest of goodies below...

Thanks so much you guys! A return parcel will be headed your way ASAP although I doubt I'll be able to come close to great surprise you sent me.

The last I heard, Peter Jackson was in line to make the film of The Lovely Bones. Don't know if that's still teh case, tho.

Ew, I hope there was no fish-n-chip scent! How rank would that be?!

And there were two CDs, just like you'd said there were. Sorry for doubting you!

How nice! WHat lovely friends!

Anubis of course was just asserting his cathood, as cats own all boxes and everything within them.

Oh...I hope you like the novel The Lovely Bones...it is one of my favourite reads...I thought about it for years afterwards! I am so excited about the idea of a movie made by Peter Jackson, I think he would be a perfect director...and I guess when I think about his movie Heavenly Creatures...it makes sense this book would interest him.

what a terrific package!
