Next Survivor Location Revealed

According to Reuters, the 14th installment of Survivor will be filmed in China making it "the first American network TV production to shoot an entire series in the communist nation". We're still likely to be treated to 12 or 13 weeks full of bikinis and butt cracks but I think if they incorporate a lot more of the history of the region (like they used to do in the first few seasons), it will make for a much more interesting series than what we've been subjected to lately. I might just watch that one.

Also, CNN is reporting that MENUDO is coming back - this time, as a reality television show. That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Lock up your pre-teen daughters. The latino boyband that gave Ricky Martin his big start is about to conquer America once again.

Unlike you, I must say that I am disappointed by the Survivor producers' decision to film in China. Not because it's a communist country, but because it has got an abominable human rights record. Instead of giving China the Olympics and the privilege of promoting themselves via one of America's most watched TV shows, they should be boycotted. Just my two cents...

bikinis and butt cracks will be interesting in China.........would be worth watching for the scenery -

Duh - that sounded a bit odd for me - I mean the scenery of China's landscape and culture.

I had heard that they were actually considering the Canadian arctic, which I have always thought would be a true survivor situation. Of course that cuts down on the bikini shots considerably.

I'm with Red on this one, surprise. As much as I think China must be beautiful, they need to get their shit together and fast.

I agree with Red and Asterisk on this one. But the US is full of hypocrisy when it comes to China so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
