HOCKEY
The Stanley Cup Finals have been set. Beginning Monday night, the Ottawa Senators will be taking on (and hopefully beating) the Anaheim Ducks (they are no longer "mighty"). I will, without question, be cheering for the Sens. If they were facing another team other than Pronger (*spits*) and the Ducks, I might rethink it seeing as Mike Comrie plays for Ottawa. However, I don't hold much of a grudge against him like some people in this city and since the other option is cheering for Chris "My Wife (allegedly) Hates Edmonton" Pronger and the Neidermyer brothers, I think the choice is pretty obvious. And it's now official. I have finished absolute last in my hockey pool at work. If my one remaining Ottawa player can score almost 100 points in the next seven games, I have a shot. I'm not going to hold my breath...

CAR RACING
The Grand Prix of Edmonton has announced that Mario Andretti (yes THAT Mario Andretti) will be the Grand Marshal (or something like that) for the weekend the race is held. This will be the third year Edmonton has hosted a race of this calibre (Champ Car I think?) and by all accounts the track, which is located at the city centre airport, has gotten rave reviews from fans, promoters, and drivers alike. Could we eventually become the home of NASCAR in Canada? God, I hope not...

Haha! Home of NASCAR in Canada! Then you could share my pain! NC is huge with the racing, of course. I don't understand the fascination with watching people drive. But I'm sure many people might not understand my fascination with BBC's Cash in the Attic.

Oh combine racing with Cash in the Attic. Ha! I'd watch that.

i never really like car racing until I have started working for Speed. They make it look so much more interesting than going round and round.
