A Musical Interlude...

Remember this gem from the 80s?

When we were growing up, my brother owned a copy of Killer on the Rampage on vinyl. For those younger readers...that's like a CD but a lot lot bigger. It was one of the coolest albums. Then or now. Eddy Grant (who shares my brother's birthday) has a great melodic voice that just soothes your soul and you lose yourself in the catchy rhythm of the reggae-esque music. Wonder what he’s up to these days? Anyone know?

One of my all time favourite albums from my teen years was Amazulu’s self-titled album. Who’s Amazulu you ask? Chances are you knew one of their biggest hits, Montego Bay, but likely not their name. You might also know one of their other singles, Don’t You Just Know It.As near as I can tell, they only put out the one album. It was a great blend of pop/reggae/ska and was great to dance to. Pity they didn’t last long.

No one rocks a suit quite like Kid Creole. ‘Nuff said.
