Geeks and Freaks --- Apply Within

Ok all you computer/techno nerds out there, I need your assistance. As you now, I recently picked up a new web cam and have posted a few videos for your enjoyment. However, I want to be able to covert them into a different format than what my computer/cam are set to save them as. Additionally I'd like to reduce the size of the video file without reducing the quality of the video too much. Does anyone have any suggestions for a program I could use? I've tried Handbrake but it's a bit too much for my small brain to take in (no offense to the much pestered individual who was kind enough to suggest it in the first place...sorry sorry sorry! ) Muchos gracias.

I can't help you, but I have noticed how beautifully crisp your vids are, which is why your files are mahoosive. My guess is that you should be able to change your preferences in the webcam software.

When I convert my DV footage for YouTube, I set it at 16fps, I think. I'd like it to look better, but when it's 10 mins long, that's almost 50MB even at that shit quality, so it takes quite a while to upload and, more importantly, for YouTube to process it.

By the way, what format does your footage come out as?

I like Quicktime pro...not too expensive, and fairly straightforward.
