Now I'm All Set

Lucky me, I've got Monday off. Woo hoo. And just as I was leaving the office, a swarm of emails with work to do arrived in my inbox. Ha ha ha! Not for me....someone else can worry about it for a change. And what a perfect day to have off too. Monday is the first game Italy plays in Eurocup, against the Netherlands. And I get to watch it live.

Today, when I opened the mailbox I was delighted to find a parcel waiting for me. No return address on the front so I wasn't sure who it was from. Then I noticed this...

Clearly it was from Italy. That could only mean one thing....MILLA! I raced upstairs when I got home from work. Ok, I raced upstairs as fast as the elevator would carry me. It was filled with goodies to help get my blue blood flowing (FYI, I'm not even remotely Italian. Like Ivory soap, I'm 99.999%....English. The tiny little bit of me that isn't? Likely French or possibly Dutch. Therefore my blood really Azzurri just looks that way because my skin is so pale!).

As you can see, I'm not the only one who was excited to see what was inside. Anubis was clearly overcome with emotion at how generous fellow bloggers can be. Milla generously sent me an Italia hat (in Azzurri blue naturally), some Euro2008 collectors cards (for those in America, think baseball cards minus the disgusting gum), and a huge Italian flag which will be draped across the front of my desk when I return on Tuesday. Combined with constant emails back and forth sharing the latest news on the Italian squad with Red, and the intriguing book she sent on Berlusconi's Italy, I am so pumped, and so prepared for the tournament.

Woohooo! Bring it on, Netherlands, well have your guts for garters.

Mille grazi a Red e Milla per tali regali generosi!

I am glad you AND the feline like the contents of the parcel. Hope the feline will bring some luck to the Italians, now without my man Cannavaro...
