Praise the Lord and Pass the Tissues

It was only a matter of time before I succumbed to the snarflies. And that time was approximately 12:45 yesterday afternoon. For those of you who aren’t used to Captain-speak, “snarfly” means being phlegmy, snottly, and having that nagging soreness on the sides of your throat where your glands are. All sure signs that you’re coming down with something. I had refused to believe that it would happen; I willed it not to, keeping the germs at bay for as long as I could. Then, with the Admiral’s medical procedure finally over and done with (and the prognosis fairly positive), my body rebelled. Ten hours of sleep Tuesday night was just a tease, lulling me into some weird, false sense of security, leading me to believe that I was in great health, all things considered. Ha!

I haven’t been as productive with my blogging as I have been in the past. I wanted to blog, honestly I did (would I lie to you?), but I didn’t have the time, energy, or mental capacity to write anything that would provide the same level of literary pleasure you’ve become accustomed to. Instead of blogging, I’ve been watching some movies, started a failed knitting project, and attempted to begin a number of books all of which I had little interest in from the moment I finished the opening sentences. Oh yes, and the Sopranos.

Glad the Admiral is doing okay...and I hope that you're feeling better soon.
