Guess Who's Got a New Filling?

That's me! Had another quick trip to the dentist yesterday to get a small little soft spot in one of my molars filled in. I love my dentist almost as much as I love my doctor. I've had pretty good experiences with dentists until I went to see some quack at Kingsway Mall when I was in my 20s. He told me I had four fillings which now I have my doubts about. He didn't file one of them down enough and the bump he left behind kept pushing down on one of my lower molars, threatening to crack it apart. He then told me I needed a root canal and a crown to fix the cracked molar or have it pulled. Yeah...nice. Long story short, thank goodness for my stepmother and her miserly ways. She told me to come home and see their family dentist who had a look and told me there was nothing wrong, filed off the bump and everything was fine. Stupid Mall dentist...

Yesterday though my dentist had me in the chair 15 minutes ahead of schedule. He froze me, drilled, and filled my tooth with NO problems, and had me out the door, receipt in hand, in 20-25 minutes. I even made it to work on time!!! If you need a dentist and you live in Edmonton? Drop me a line and I'll pass on the info! He's super.

And, as much as I love Steve Martin and have had a crush on him for years (pre-Pink Panther of course!), I'm glad HE's not my dentist.

A bad dentist is truly the owner of a House of Horrors - now I'm wondering about the necessity of some of my teeth work . . . and the quality! Glad this was a piece of cake for you.

Ah! Funny you should write this post, 'cos last week my crown fell while I was chewing a HEALTHY CERAL BAR. You got that? HEALTHY CERAL BAR. Had I chewed a brownie, this wouldn't have happened!
My dentist (Denise) took me in as an emergency patient and got everything cemented back to its place. Hurrah!

I'll bet people fall in love with their dentists more than we realise. I mean, anybody who will floss your teeth for you ...

Ha! I always loved that song, and the masochistic patient. "Candy bar!!"

Richard had the same experience you did; 4 cavities mysteriously vanished after he switched dentists. How *peculiar*, eh?
