Still Here

Still around, just keeping busy. Competed in Corporate Challenge on the weekend but one of our team members didn't show up so our results didn't count. The rest of us however gave it our all and I even took a big one for the team. A big can of beans that is. There was a food challenge and my portion involved eating an entire can of beans. I enjoyed it, I like beans. However, the portion was much larger than I would normally have attempted. Plus...beans expand in your tummy. Uggggh. I was fine until about three hours later when things started moving and working their way through my digestive system. Not good. Thankfully I made it home before things got...um...ugly.

In other news, I'm quite enjoying watching the Penguins (and, of course, Evgeni Malkin...yum) make their way closer and closer to the Stanley Cup finals. From the looks of it, it's going to be a repeat of last year's match up with Detroit and Pittsburgh battling it out. This, of course, is not good news for fans of Chicago or Carolina, including fellow blogger Pokecheck. Don't get me wrong, I want Pittsburgh to advance but the Hurricanes are a pretty damn good hockey team and it would be nice to see their series go the distance.

Not much else at the moment, knitting and reading; reading and knitting. I should have an in-progress picture of the sweater which is going pretty well sometime this week.

Cold or hot beans? For some reason, I think it's easier to down more beans if they are cold. Maybe it's the whole expansion thing. Someone should really do a controlled experiment about this.

Baked beans? If so, ewwwww. For some reason I hate those things, though I like all other kinds of beans. I applaud your determination. It's good you didn't have to ride a mechanical bull afterwards to see who upchucked first, like on a truly disgusting gameshow I saw once.
