It's my fault there's no snow

You see, I bought a new winter coat. That's why it's been hovering in positive double digits once again and if we get any precipitation, it's rain. And there's no snow in the forecast. However, when the flakes do eventually begin to fly and the wind begins to whip around, I'll be ready.

I've been doing some thinking. Yes, that is always a dangerous thing but bear with me. I was on the phone with my favourite aunt the other day and she was asking how my knees were doing. They're doing much better although I haven't been keeping up with the stretches the physio recommended so I tend to get a twinge when I go down steep hills. Anyways, Auntie B mentioned that she too has not been keeping up with her running since she's been so busy lately. However, she did say she'd start up again if we ever wanted to give it another go. Since she mentioned that, I've been thinking about possibly giving the 1/2 marathon a try again.

There would plenty of family and friend support as usual, I'm sure. Plus, now that I live on a hill I could practice the steep up and downs of the marathon course (beautiful it may be but ouch!). It also helps that I have the treadmill in the house (and set up in front of the TV in my room!) so I could train all year round rather than being able to say "it's too cold/icy/windy/I'm too lazy". As you may remember from a few years ago, I did very little training for our first attempt. If we decide to do it next summer, it's going to have to be different. AND, I will have to be more diligent about the physio exercises. No more injuries for this captain.

What to do, what to do.

There's snow now! Evidently we need you to bring your coat down here to deal with this snow storm.

Yes, sounds like a plan. The gear, the goal, and the working out of how to get there. I put my elliptical right in the living room right in front of the TV - not classy looking - but gives me less excuse to NOT do it. I could never make a run like that though! Do it while you can!!!

That's very handy to have a treadmill. Well, if you do decide to go for it, I'll be cheering you on!

I would do it if I were you, especially now that you have time, the training equip, support, everything.
Go girl go!
