Funny, I Don't Feel Any Older

Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Yesterday, I was one step closer to 40. That's roughly middle age. Am I allowed to have a crisis now? Do I get to date men half my age and drive a fancy sports car? Frankly I have no desire to do either of those things - I'd rather have a man within 5 years of my own age (preferrably older than younger) and drive a nice, reliable compact car (preferrably electric). It was a quiet birthday this year - you get to a certain age and balloons, hats, and noise makers are no longer really appropriate. The girls at work treated me to lunch where I ate a slice of cheesecake which was half the size of my head. As you can see, I have a pretty big head (it has to be in order to hold all my brainnnnnnssssss - zombies would love me). Mom gave me a hand/immersion blender (i think that's what they're called). No phone call from my father. Surprise! He'll probably call in about a week if I'm lucky. I'm not bitter....nope, not at all. Big Brother and family, Mom and I are going bowling this weekend. I like to live life on the wild side.

Now that you're no longer on Facebook, I never know when your birthday is!

Oh well, happy belated, and I hope it was a fantabulous day! 40 is where it's at, baby, so one step closer is a gooooooood thing. :)

And a belated happy birthday from me, too. Hugs and kisses.

Sorry I missed the big day! A head-sized piece of cake sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. And for the record, you are a mere kid.
