Just got back from the dietician. I gained 2 lbs. WTF?

To be fair, I was not very good the past few weeks. My dietician, S, was not upset with me, disappointed or any of the other reactions I would have expected. The past 6 weeks were not for me to be a religious adherent to the rules or to turn my life around completely. The fact that I made some positive changes and was cognizant of where I needed to improve made her happy. After reviewing my homework (the food log I had to keep), we set down six goals that I am to focus on for the next 6 weeks. I'm going to be extra diligent and make some major changes and reverse that small weight gain. Sheesh. I'm disappointed in myself but that will be my inspiration.

As my doctor would say, two lbs is just a good poop. So I wouldn't sweat it.

2lbs is within regular weigh fluxuations (is that a word? why is it coming up as a spelling error?!) anyways, so I wouldn't worry too much. I'm curious about what your goals are for the next 6 weeks!

I agree, two pounds either way is no big deal...what is a big deal if you want to lose weight is to shop well, fill your fridge with the foods you know you should eat more of, and to start to develop some discipline a bit at a time. For me, the first thing was to eat breakfast every day. It sounds like a small thing but it was huge for me. Then I managed to actually pack a lunch and take it to work every day. Another victory. For me the whole business was made up of small victories like that.

You know we have changed our diets here in our house hold about the time you went to your first appt 3 weeks ago.. We have cut alot of soda out of our diets. We still drink it but not as many in a day as we were. We are eating healthy snacks instead of chips and popcorn all time. We have cut back on things.. I mean Jeff could eat a whole bag of pop corn by himself so we decided to start sharing one bag. So keep it up and nice job.. Like WC said I am curious what your goals are for the next 6 weeks..
