Gorgeous weather today. Mom and I had breakfast at Ricki's diner before doing our weekly shop. After she had a 2 hour nap during the Jays' game and I watched Cameroon fall to the Danes (goodbye Cameroon, I will miss you), we took advantage of the sunshine and went for a walk. An hour and half later (woooooot!), we crawled through the door and collapsed in a heap. A fantastic trip through the river valley trails near our house...you can view the pics we took on my Flickr page.

I'm very excited for tomorrow - Italy plays their second game, this time against New Zealand and I won't be moving from my chair. Well, except to do my laundry. The game begins at 8 a.m. MST. Check your listings for times in your area. Also on tap for tomorrow is Slovakia vs. Paraguay and finally Brazil vs. Cote d'Ivoire.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

I'm getting up nice and early to watch Italy (7 am here). I think there will be pancakes for the second half.
Then it's out for a run.

I was sad to see Cameroon go as well. They had so many good chances!

NZ and Italy draw 1-1. In two hours it's Brazil and Cote d'Ivoire - could be one of the best matches of first round. Sure hoping it's not a 0-0 draw... Go Elephants Go! Agree it's sad to see Cameroon out. Hoping some African teams make it to next round.

I think South Africa's chances are slim. I have hope for Cote d'Ivoire though. Fingers crossed.
