114. Rogue Wave (Boyd Morrison)

Book number 3 for 2011 - "Rogue Wave" by Boyd Morrison. I picked it up at the bookstore because of the price tag - only $5.99. The description on the back sounded interesting so I figured, for that price, why not. Definately worth it!

From the book cover:
"A minor seismic disturbance in a remote section of the Pacific causes barely a ripple of concern for Kai Tanaka, acting director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre in Honolulu. But when an airliner en route from L.A. to Sydney vanishes in the same location, Kai is the first to realize that a mysterious explosion has unleased a series of massive waves destined to obliterate Hawaii. In just one hour, Kai will lose all he has ever known - including his wife and daughter - unless he can save them from nature's most destructive force."

It played out like a movie which, in this case, was just what I needed this week. Mindlessly entertaining fiction, nothing too complex, unbelievable circumstances... It even made me cry 3X! This would be perfect for the beach in summer if you need something to pass the time while you soak up the sun.
