Seven days in and I summited Denali on Friday, the second summit on my list. I'm a bit behind my schedule but I did forget to wear my pedometer one day so that explains a lot. I'm really enjoying this challenge. Its easy, I don't have to put much thought, effort, or planning into doing it but its helping me stay healthy (or get healthier).
Denali, or Mount McKinley, is the highest mountain in North America at 20,320 feet and is located in Alaska. The Athabaskan people call the peak Denali which means "The Great One" but it was named "Mount McKinley" after then president William McKinley by a local prospector. The mountain was first summited successfully in 1913.
I was on the treadmill today for an hour but didn't bother with the pedometer as I didn't use it for the rest of the day. Ah well. Tomorrow's another day.
I'm Karen, a 40' something single Canuck gal who loves funky socks, football, reading, Coca-Cola, warm cat snuggles, and french fry sandwiches on white bread. I'd also like to take over the world but I just don't have the will power.
