2. What are studying and why aren’t you doing it in Canada?
I'm getting a Masters Degree in Marketing, as well as my journeyman ticket in Australian life over the next year. I'm not doing it in Canada because why not? What a great opportunity and experience, and when else will I get a chance like this again?
3. Have you ever “squeezed the Charmin” despite repeated warnings not to?
I am actually an unmitigated rule follower. I never cut in line, j-walk, bike ride without a helmet, so I would NEVER squeeze the Charmin. The warning is there for a reason, my friends.
4. Now that you’re living in the land “down under”, have you tried vegemite? Would you consider posting a video of you trying it for the first time?
I have not tried vegemite! I'm not really wanting to, as I have gotten multiple warnings, but I also feel like the trip wouldn't be complete. None of my roommates have it, but as soon as I am somewhere it is available, I'll try it, and document the occasion. I'm not going to go out and buy a whole jar though, I'm on a student's budget!
5. You’re on a date with Justin Bieber. Give us all the juicy details.
Well, obviously the Biebs and I would have to go out in secret, as many of the woman he's courted in the past have recieved death threats, and I just can't deal with that kind of stress. I think he'd pick me up on his banana seat bike, and we'd double to the local malt shop. There we would split a double chocolate milkshake, and he'd tell me that my eyes look like the ocean, and that love is like the wind; you can't see it, but you can feel it. He'd pay, because he is a tiny millionaire, and then from there we'd head to his house and share hair and skin tips, better grooming ourselves till we looked our best. He'd have me home by 9pm, right at curfew, and we'd share a handshake goodbye. It would be magical.
6. Your blog is titled: Books and Beers. Which really comes first on your list of priorities?
It's a shifting priority! When I first got here, it was the Beers, because they were all new, and I had to try a few to really find which one spoke to me. Now, that I'm knee deep in assignments and starting group projects, the books are definitely taking the top billing. I would say I spend on average, about 5-6 days of the week with Books, but only 1-2 days with Beers. I also am trying to spend 1 day a week with another good friend, Beach, I'll let you know how that goes.
PICKLES! Claussen's Dill Pickles, and Lays Dill Pickle chips. Seriously, the pickles here are bunk. What am I supposed to eat along with my sandwiches now!? Also, my adorable niece, a hug from her would be pretty spectacular. I have yet to find a child in the land of Oz who gives hugs like her, nor a mother who is as comfortable with me hugging her child as my Sister in Law is... weird.
