Interviews of the Not So Rich and Famous - Ep 23 - The Fashion Queen

Friday, March 25, 2011
The latest installment of the Interviews of the Not So Rich and Famous series mixes fun, fashion, and food!  I present The Fashion Queen, Kasia.  If you haven't already checked it out, I suggest heading over to her blog, The Fab Life.  She talks about her own adventures in the kitchen, clothes, style, and everything else that is fabulous.  And, if you're looking for a great wine to try out, why not check out her husband's blog, DustontheBottle.  I don't know anything about wine, or even like it that much, but I'm learning.

1. Name, favourite wine, why do you continue to taunt me with your lime-green GAP cardi?
Name: Kasia
Favourite wine: Quails' Gate Old Vines Foch Reserve
The lime-green Gap cardi is there to inspire your inner fashionista!

2. A freakish industrial accident has turned you into a superhero crime fighter. Describe your super powers and your costume.
I have no imagination... I've always wanted to have white hair, and I do have a bit of a rage problem occasionally, so I think my powers would be like Storm from Marvel Comics' X-Men. I love that she can control the weather and that she has been described as having one of the strongest wills among X-men. I would also like to be able to teleport myself like Nightcrawler because I'm always late!

3. You’ve been named captain of the Canadian National Bowling Team. What three famous people (alive or dead/real or fictional) would choose to join the team and why?
First of all, I hate bowling... so I would definitely ask Kevin Martin. If he can curl he should be able to bowl right?! Fred Flinstone - OBVIOUSLY and Barney Rubble - OBVIOUSLY.

4. Who is your favourite designer and what one item would you like them to design for you?
My favourite designer... ooo that's a tough one. Chanel is the obvious one that comes to mind and I would've loved a wedding dress by Karl Lagerfeld. But day to day I think my current love is Tory Burch, and she could style my entire wardrobe if she wanted!

5. Toilet paper – rolled from the top or the bottom?
Omg, from the top!

6. Smarties or M&Ms? Why?
Smarties! I like the song. I like also not dying from anaphalactic shock (M&Ms are notoriously peanut-contaminated).

7. Why does Donald Duck wear a towel after he showers but never wears pants?
Clearly he's self-conscious about his belly-button being exposed.

8. If the sky was no longer blue, what colour would it be?
The colour of an opal.

9. When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?
Camera!

10. What was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread?
Um, knives

Great interview! Love the Quail's Gate wine myself, which brings back lovely memories of touring the winery.
