A Merry Christmas chez Londons Fog

Sunday, December 25, 2011
Ahhhhh. The holiday festivities are almost over and the sense of peace and relaxation have started to settle in.  Last night, Big Brother, Super Duper Sister in Law and the kidlets came over for a light dinner - veggies, shrimp, meat/cheese/crackers, assorted pickles, spring rolls, etc.  Simple yet hearty, not to mention yummy!  The kids opened their prezzies and seemed very happy.  Probably the result of ingesting copious amounts of chocolate and sugar throughout the course of the day.  I received a present as well:  this fabulous camera bag! What a perfect gift!!!  I was so excited.  And the pattern? LOVE IT!  Definately my sister-in-law's influence, no doubt.  Absolutely lovely!  And now I can pack my camera around to more places which means MORE PHOTOS!

An early night for mommikins and I, both of us were in bed before 8PM.  We were exhausted after a day of cleaning, chopping, and cooking. However, that also meant we were up very early this morning; not because we were overly excited about the fat man's delivery of presents but because we had slept too much and the cats were bouncing off both our heads.  We had our presents open, coffee in hand, and snacks being munched on by 6AM.  Now, we're both spending the rest of the morning doing a whole lot of nothing - watching movies, playing video games, reading, and (of course) napping!  We're off to Big Brother's for turkey dinner tonight.  I'll finish off the evening watching football.

Mom was SOOO excited about her calendar; she almost cried as she flipped through the pages.  She squeeeee'd with delight over the hockey tickets and absolutely adored her little Toronto Blue Jays garden gnome.  He'll likely stay in the box until "spring training" and then he'll take up his position on the balcony.  As for me, I lucked out!  A great cookbook, windpants for walking outside in the winter, a new indoor grill (this time with removable, dishwasher safe plates), a set of Eggies, and a new book from the kittehs.

I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends.  May the new year bring you and yours prosperity, good health, and peace.  Now, if you'll excuse me, its time for nap number 1 before I begin eating again...
