I can't believe its been over a week since I last blogged. What the heck?! I'd love to say that I've been focusing on my "get healthy" mission and have been busy making great food choices, getting tons of exercise and having a blast with life. Pffft. Yeah, right. Things, healthwise, have not been super duper these days. I've made plenty of poor choices and filled my belly with empty calories and then constantly complained that it was too hot to workout.
It hasn't been all bad though. This morning I went out for a delightful bike ride. The air was crisp and cool, feeling decidely fall-like. As soon as I started riding, I wish I had brought my running jacket with me. My ears were chilled by the time I headed home forty minutes and 4.36 miles later. I really MUST get myself a basket and a cup holder soon. Stay tuned, one of these days, I'll take my camera along and try to get some shots of my bike route and possibly a video of me sailing through the tree-lined paths.
Also, after having pretty much no desire to run since I ran/walked 5K on the treadmill just over a month ago, I ran again. Twice. It felt great - no knee problems despite not doing my physio exercises, lungs felt good, and I was super sweaty!
Refocusing after a pizzafest yesterday with Mommikins. We spent Friday waiting for our old furniture to be picked up and then spent Saturday waiting for the new furniture to be delivered. There was then the task of putting it all together. Thankfully my chair and her loveseat came preassembled. However, I ended up putting together the TV stand for the living room (I've got mad screwdriving skills, yo!) and we worked together to set up both of our new TVs. WOW. Flatscreen heaven. Needless to say, neither of us wanted to cook this weekend (and yes, its still warm out but slowly cooling off...); hence, the pizza. We both ate a few pieces too many. Let's just leave it there.
Not much reading lately. Currently, I've working my way through book 4 of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Feast for Crows. Loving the Greyjoys' story line. 'Nuff said.
That's about it for now. Men's waterpolo final is wrapping up and I've got to start screaming at the TV in hopes that the Italian team will hear me. Later peeps!
