Well, not without a minor battle scar. At our work lunch function today, I decided to order both a Coke and a glass of water and let my taste buds decide once they arrived at the table.  I made it all the way through lunch and all I drank was water with a wedge of lemon.  After taking the last bite, I took one nice long sip of pop to finish off my meal.  And that was it.  I honestly didn’t want any more.  It wasn’t satisfying or refreshing like it used to be and it tasted FAR too sweet.  And that’s just after four days!!!  So, while I can’t stick a star on the calendar for a “pop free” day today, I consider this a victory.  Yay me.

I have been trying to avoid pop too. I noticed that I mostly want the bubbles, not the sweet, so have been doing reduced sodium club soda. It's not for everyone, I know, but tastes pretty good with juice (or whiskey)

Good for you! That didn't take long for your taste buds to realize how sweet pop really is.
