My Own Personal Brand of Therapy

There's something extremely therapeutic about ripping your entire kitchen apart and making it shine from top to bottom.  Attacking the grime that accumulates on the cupboards and floors over time with a scrubby works out more aggression and tension that an hour in a gym.

Yes, its spring cleaning time.  We emptied everything out of the kitchen that wasn't nailed down - the cupboards were soon bare, the freezer empty, and the stove in the hallway.  We scrubbed everything (literally!) including removing the knobs on the stove and vacuuming out the coils on the back of the refrigerator.  The floor was soon sparkling, sticky spots were made non-sticky, and I made any trace of cat hair vanish like David Copperfield.

Needless to say, it was also exhausting.  Both Mom and I are tired and sore but we're not done.  The kitchen is mostly finished (a few more items to put away) and tomorrow we're moving on to the rest of the apartment. We're having the carpets cleaned on Thursday so tomorrow will be spent vacuuming all the other rooms and moving smaller pieces of furniture out of the way.  So much for a relaxing two days off!  There will however be a midday break - we're off to catch the re-issue of the original Jurassic Park in 3D!  Get ready Dr. Malcolm, here I come.

The only way to keep it looking so great is to never use the kitchen ever again! It's a win win situation.
