When the Human's Away...

We have officially engaged a cat sitter.  Mom and I are taking a much needed mini-vacation this summer with my Aunt.  Since the cats can't operate a can opener or turn on the tap (damn them and their lack of opposable thumbs!), we need someone to come in twice a day to feed them and scoop some poop.
Hmmm, I don't know how I feel about this situation.  It will cost you one can of tuna.
She stopped by the house yesterday for a little meet and greet, and things went well.  Nero and Anubis seemed to like her and, as usual, Rocky hid under the bed.
Strangers?  Strangers?! Strangers!  MUST HIDE NOW.
The furry family members will be for quite the shock though when they realize there's no one around to wake up at 3 AM and they won't be getting any fresh munchies or treats until nine!
But... who will I cuddle with under the covers at night? Don't leave me.
Hopefully they won't be too stressed out by the whole situation.  Nubi is especially cuddly and in need of human company so I think we'll have to get the sitter to leave the TV on for a while...  Can you tell I'm already anxious?  I'm nervous.  I can't (read: don't want to) leave my babies alone!  Pathetic?   Yes.

I go through the same thing every time we go away too. It's hard to leave your kitties! At least they can keep each other company; the SRK gets so lonely that she doesn't stop talking for 2 days after we return.
