No, I still killed it on Tuesday with my first training walk but yesterday my office BBQ killed me. We had a carnival theme and I was in charge of one of the games. This meant I had to constantly squat down to pick something up, stand up, squat down, stand up... you get the idea. Needless to say I did 30 minutes of squatting in the hot sun (a whole other story) and by the time I got home, my thighs were so sore I could only hobble around. I didn't ice them as I know I should have because I needed my ice pack for my neck and ears - I ended up with a sunburn that left me headache-y and woozy. My ears? Almost purple. Not pleasant.
Needless to say, I didn't do my second training walk for this week last night. I figured I'd take my rest day yesterday instead and then walk today. Um....yeah, not so sure about that either. My thighs are worse today than they were yesterday. I guess that's what they mean by DOMS. I'll see how I feel later today and decide if I'll walk this afternoon. If anything, it will be very slow; nowhere near the pace I did on Tuesday where, as you know, I killed it.
And my new fabulous watch? I somehow accidentally set the timer to go off at midnight. Its done this three nights in a row but I haven't got around to changing it. Yes, I'm THAT lazy.
